Pekin Insurance is seeking a Life Insurance IT Analyst III to partner with Product Managers, Owners, and business units to translate requirements into user stories and testable outcomes for life insurance products and forms.

The role focuses on documenting customer journeys, prioritizing backlog with the business voice, and guiding developers with clear business context, while ensuring product quality and alignment with strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5-8 years equivalent work experience.
• Typically requires 5-8 years of experience in the field or related roles.
• Experience in an Agile environment preferred.
• Life Insurance knowledge is highly preferred, especially life insurance forms and business processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and capture business problems and non-functional requirements with Product Managers and business units.
• Translate customer journeys into user stories and actionable backlog items.
• Define and execute test cases and support planning and release activities.
• Act as the voice of the business to the technical product team and guide solution options.
• Educate engineers on product context to ensures quality and alignment with business strategy.
• Provide operational support such as check runs and other business/system tasks as needed.
• Lead stakeholders and influence decisions to minimize investment divergence from target architecture.
