Job summary

Joshua Peck & Associates, LLC in Blue Springs, MO is seeking a dedicated Life Specialist to own life insurance across the agency—writing new business and servicing existing client households. Many clients have not discussed protection, and you’ll lead those conversations with warmth and trust.

The role blends developing new life clients through referrals, community outreach, and ongoing policy reviews, with servicing the existing life book.

Qualifications

• Missouri Life & Health license or willingness to obtain within 60 days with company support
• Prior life insurance sales experience preferred
• Ability to build trust quickly and discuss family finances
• Comfortable prospecting and asking for referrals
• Understanding of term, whole life, and universal life products preferred
• Strong presentation and closing skills
• Highly organized with follow-through on long sales cycles
• CRM and quoting systems proficiency
• Self-directed and accountable to production goals
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Write new life insurance business through referrals, networking, and self-generated prospecting
• Conduct life insurance reviews with existing agency clients across the book
• Complete needs analyses and recommend term, whole life, and universal life coverage
• Present recommendations to individuals, couples, and small business owners
• Manage end-to-end application process: quoting, underwriting, medical exams, policy delivery
• Service existing life book with annual reviews, beneficiary changes, and coverage updates
• Partner with sales team and telemarketer to identify and follow up on opportunities
• Track activity, pipeline, and production in the agency management system
• Hit monthly life production goals
• Represent the agency at community events and build local referral relationships
