Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking an EMS Coordinator for Life Flight Operations (PRN) to coordinate the medical control program for pre-hospital providers, and to participate in QA, education, and research activities within the Emergency Care and Life Flight programs.

Responsibilities include reporting on medical control calls, improving performance metrics, and upholding MetroHealth service standards at METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER in Cleveland, OH. Travel to other EMS sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Possesses all of the requirements for either a Paramedic OR Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, or its equivalent (PEPP).
• Must have ACLS AND PALS Instructor certification OR obtain both within 1 year of hire.
• Experience in pre-hospital educational activities and curriculum development.
• Experience in quality assurance/performance improvement or hospital/pre-hospital care instruction.
• Willing to travel to other locations within The MetroHealth System and/or EMS sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the medical control program for pre-hospital providers (EMS) for the Emergency Care Patient Care Unit.
• Participate in quality assurance, educational, public relations, and research activities for the ED and Life Flight Program.
• Provide summary statistics and reports on medical control calls, issues, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Uphold the mission, vision, values and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Education

HS Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN)
