Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living in Springfield, IL, is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to develop and oversee a comprehensive program that promotes social, physical, and emotional wellbeing for residents. You will plan activities, coordinate events, and partner with families to reflect residents’ life stories.

Responsibilities include leading programs, assisting with Life Stories, coordinating decorations, and ensuring effective communication with families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid bus license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EHR systems, and HR-related platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and lead community activities, events, and celebrations.
• Welcome new residents and families to life enrichment programs.
• Coordinate holiday decorations for the community.
• Assist with Life Stories and resident assessments.
• Record attendance and communicate with families via Cedarhurst’s platform.
• Attend monthly virtual education meetings.
• Drive community bus for outings and appointments.
• Communicate effectively with families about residents’ care and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with staff and management; assist in conflict resolution when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
