Job summary

St. Joseph House, operated by Daughters of Charity Ministries, in Emmitsburg, Maryland, seeks a part-time Life Enrichment Assistant (24 hours per week) to enhance the Sisters' quality of life through person-centered programming and events.

The role involves planning and evaluating recreational activities, assisting with monthly calendars, and coordinating outings. Strong communication, organization, and basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED preferred.
• Experience working with the elderly population for at least one year.
• Two or more years of experience as an activity assistant in senior living or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and oversees group and one-on-one social programs for the Sisters.
• Transports and/or assists Sisters on outings and trips with safe transport.
• Completes necessary assessments, forms, and documentation.
• Notes Sisters' program participation and motivates participation as needed.
• Gathers and disseminates information about community services and programs.
• Coordinates with team members for supplies and resident participation.
