Job summary

Saber Healthcare Group is seeking a dedicated Life Enrichment Director to oversee and direct the life enrichment program across a 90-bed facility at Smith Mountain Lake area. You will plan, implement, and evaluate programs to enhance residents’ wellness and quality of life, aligning with health standards and regulatory requirements.

The role requires CTRS/NCTRC or ADC/COTA certification with healthcare experience; bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be CTRS through NCTRC, or ADC through NCCAP, or a COTA with state certification.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Two years of experience in a social or recreation program within the last five years; at least one year full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting as director.
• CTRS experience preferred.
• LTC experience preferred.
• Must be able to carry out verbal and written directions.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Enhance resident wellness and quality of life through planning, organizing, developing, implementing and directing the overall life enrichment program.
• Ensure ongoing life enrichment meets the interests and well-being of each resident according to assessments.
• Follow health, sanitary and infection control policies and procedures.
