Sprenger Health Care is seeking an Activities Professional in Olmsted Falls, OH to plan and implement a resident activity program. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to integrate recreation into the overall care plan and maintain documentation of resident progress and services.

Responsibilities include staffing the activities department, scheduling, budgeting hours, and training new staff, while communicating programs with residents, staff, families and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Is licensed or registered by the State in which practicing (if applicable).
• Is eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional since 1990.
• Or has 2 years in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, with 1 year full-time in healthcare.
• Or is an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; or completed a state-approved training course.

Responsabilités

• Plan, schedule and implement a program of individual and group activities based on residents’ needs and interests.
• Staff the activities department including scheduling, budgeting hours, budgeting the department, hiring and training new employees.
• Serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary team and integrate the recreation plan into the total resident plan of care.
• Maintain departmental documentation reflecting services and resident progress, including notes and records.
• Develop and communicate facility programs with residents, staff, family and volunteers.
