Job summary

Sprenger Health Care in Olmsted Falls, OH is seeking a qualified Activities/ Recreation Therapist to plan and implement resident activity programs across a range of settings. You will staff the activities department, manage scheduling and budgets, and collaborate with the inter-disciplinary team to integrate the recreation plan into overall care.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, coordinating facility programs with residents, staff, families and volunteers, and supporting resident

Qualifications

• License or registration by the applicable State.
• Two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, with one year full-time in a patient activities program.
• Or qualified OT/OTA.
• Or completed a state-approved training course.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and implement activities based on residents’ needs and interests.
• Staff the activities department, manage scheduling and budgets.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and participate in care conferences.
• Maintain departmental documentation and progress notes.
• Develop and communicate facility programs with residents, staff, family and volunteers.
