Job summary

Sterling Estates East Cobb in Marietta, GA is seeking a Director of Activities to lead our Life Enrichment team and deliver programs that meet the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical, and environmental needs of residents.

You will supervise activity staff and volunteers, design monthly calendars aligned with our signature programs, and manage budgets. A passion for senior engagement and hospitality is essential to help residents live extraordinary lives.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in recreational activities, life enrichment, or related field (prefer Recreational Therapy).
• Minimum 3 years of activity/life enrichment experience working with seniors.
• Experience in long-term care and assisted living required.
• Prior supervisory experience a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Activity staff—including interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and counseling.
• Plan and coordinate monthly activity calendars aligned with signature programs and events.
• Promote resident wellness and a healthy culture across environments.
• Create and manage the department annual plan, goals, budget, pricing, and performance standards.
