Job summary

The Addison of Oakleaf, a Sonida Senior Living community in Jacksonville, FL, seeks an Activities Professional to develop and manage calendar-based recreation programs for residents across independent living, assisted living and memory care. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
• Certification as an Activity Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and implements activities for a seven-day week calendar.
• Identifies the special needs of each resident and creates a plan to accommodate those needs.
• Involves the resident in planning recreation objectives and goals for the resident.
• Integrates resident with the community through facility activities and outings.
• Creates a strong positive image and establishes good relationships within the community, which may include press relations, promotional activities, scrapbooks, and displays in the facility.

Education
