Job summary

The Addison of Oakleaf, part of Sonida Senior Living, seeks a dedicated Activities Director to design and run a weekly schedule of engaging resident activities in Jacksonville, FL. You will tailor plans to resident needs and foster participation, building a positive community presence through events and outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field; Activity Professional certification preferred.
• Two years activities management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and implements activities for a seven-day week calendar.
• Identifies the special needs of each resident and creates a plan to accommodate those needs.
• Involves the resident in planning recreation objectives and goals.
• Integrates resident with the community through facility activities and outings.
• Creates a strong positive image and establishes good relationships within the community, which may include press relations, promotional activities, scrapbooks, and displays in the facility.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation
