Job summary

Maple Valley Memory Care is seeking a lively Life Enrichment Director to lead and participate in activities that keep residents healthy in body, mind, and spirit. You will plan and run programs tailored to each person, with hands-on involvement and a focus on meaningful engagement.

The role requires coordinating weekly schedules, promoting participation, and coordinating transportation and events. Prior experience in activity planning for seniors and comfort with tablets and email are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience planning activities for seniors is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay positive under pressure.
• Comfort with computers including tablets, word processors, email, internet, and social media.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run recreation, social, fitness, wellness, and spiritual activities for residents.
• Create a weekly seven-day activity schedule and a monthly calendar.
• Encourage participation in activities and outings.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers; plan parties and monthly celebrations.
• Help plan and run community events and welcome new residents.
• Arrange transportation to events and activities; may drive the company bus.
• Hire and manage program leaders, performers, religious workers, and vendors.

What you’ll do:

• Create a weekly seven-day activity schedule and a monthly calendar
• Encourage residents to join activities and outings
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteersPlan parties and seasonal decorations; host monthly birthday celebrations
• Help plan and run community events, including welcoming new residents
• Arrange transportation to events, services, shopping, and activities (may drive the company bus)
• Hire and manage program leaders, performers, religious workers, and vendors

Qualifications:

• Any experience in crafts, art, or music is a plus
• Ability to work well with others, handle multiple tasks, stay positive, and work under pressure
• Comfortable using computers, iPads/tablets, Word, internet, email, and social media
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; may need to drive the company bus or a personal vehicle
