Job summary

Crestwood Terrace in Crestwood, IL is seeking an Activities Aide to engage residents in recovery and rehab through games, entertainment and life enrichment.

You'll lead group activities, read to residents, and support cognitive and memory retention, with an afternoon/evening shift and alternating weekend rotation. Our team emphasizes compassion, flexibility, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Prior experience as an activity aide in a long-term care facility preferred
• Must have computer knowledge
• Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) pounds
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and criminal history background check

Responsibilities

• Keep short term stay residents engaged in their recovery and rehab through activities and events.
• Lead life enrichment activities focused on cognitive and memory retention, such as exercise groups or games.
• Provide engaging activities for long-term residents, including reading to someone confined to their room.
• Foster a positive, fun environment with a team that supports residents and each other.
