Job summary

Touchmark at Coffee Creek in Edmond, OK is hiring a Life Enrichment Coordinator to create and run activities for residents, supporting physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual well-being. You will plan, organize and execute programs on and off campus, engaging residents and families with compassion and teamwork.

The role requires a high school diploma and experience in a healthcare activities program (prefer dementia care).

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with a social or recreational activities program in a health care setting.
• Prefer experience working with people living with dementia.
• Ability to plan, organize and assist with activities on and off campus, including events and exercise programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create and implement activities programs meeting residents’ physical, cognitive, social and spiritual needs.
• Encourage and motivate residents, providing a positive presence for residents and families.
• Support safety, confidentiality and compassionate interactions with residents, staff and visitors.

As a Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will enrich lives every day by assisting in the planning, creationand implementation of an activities program that will meet the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents. You will have the daily opportunity to exercise your ability to encourage and motivate others, and to be a positive presence in the lives of residents and their families!

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (excellence, teamwork,hospitality, integrity, and compassion), as well as a desire to model thesevalues and to encourage others to be allies, friends and givers
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have experience working with a social or recreational activities programin a health care setting, and preferably have experience working with peopleliving with dementia
• Enjoy working as part of a team to arrange, organize, and assist withactivities both on and off campus, such as holiday and birthday celebrations,social events, community outings, and exercise programs
• Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in ageriatric environment
• Have a commitment to confidentiality in respect to resident status andmedical history
• Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing withresidents, family members, staff members and visitors
