Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities in Casper, Wyoming, seeks a Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan, organize, and direct individual and group programs that meet the social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs of residents. The coordinator promotes programs to residents and encourages participation.

Responsibilities include designing engaging activities, planning monthly calendars, distributing schedules, acknowledging residents’ milestones, and overseeing budgets to ensure costs stay

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Rec Therapist, COTA, education and/or experience in the field of teaching or nursing is preferred.
  • Certification by NCCAP is also preferred.
  • Excellent Communication (oral and written) in English, organizational and time management skills.
  • Minimum of one year working with senior population preferred but will consider previous experiences.
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours. This position will require some weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Basic typing skills along with basic knowledge of computer Microsoft Software (i.e. Publisher, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Able to drive residents to outside activities on the Primrose Bus.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents or associates of organization or outside professionals.

  • Leads and/or oversees individual and group programs daily, encouraging and tracking resident participation at each program.
  • Designs creative and engaging programs that are reflective of our residents' needs and interests.
  • Plans a monthly calendar that includes one-on-one programs as well as group activities that will enrich the interests/health of our residents.
  • Develops and distributes monthly Life Enrichment schedules to residents and posts for easy reference by residents.
  • Acknowledges residents’ birthdays, anniversaries, and special accomplishments.
  • Orders needed supplies including oversight of the life enrichment budget to ensure that costs are maintained within budgetary guidelines.
  • Ensures Life Enrichment Programs meet all state, federal, and other regulations.

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring for a Life Enrichment Coordinator to be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing individual and group programs to meet the social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs of the Primrose Community residents.
