Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan, organize, and direct programs meeting residents' social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs. You will promote participation, design engaging activities, and ensure programs respect dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong communication, and comfort with flexible hours including weekends; experience with seniors is preferred and MS Office skills are

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily individual and group programs; track participation.
• Design engaging programs reflecting residents' needs and interests.
• Plan monthly calendars including one-on-one and group activities.
• Develop and distribute monthly Life Enrichment schedules.
• Acknowledge residents' birthdays and special milestones.
• Order supplies and manage Life Enrichment budget within guidelines.
• Ensure programs meet state and federal regulations.

Job Summary

The Life Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing individual and group programs that meet the social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs of Primrose Community residents. The Coordinator promotes available programs, encourages participation, and ensures programs support residents' dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and convey a Life Enrichment philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents.
• Lead and/or oversee individual and group programs daily, encouraging and tracking resident participation at each program.
• Design creative and engaging programs that reflect residents’ needs and interests.
• Plan a monthly calendar that includes one‑on‑one programs and group activities enriching residents’ interests and health.
• Develop and distribute monthly Life Enrichment schedules to residents and post them for reference.
• Acknowledge residents’ birthdays, anniversaries, and special accomplishments.
• Order needed supplies and manage the Life Enrichment budget within guidelines.
• Ensure Life Enrichment Programs meet state, federal, and other regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Rec Therapist, COTA, education, and/or experience in teaching or nursing preferred.
• Certification by NCCAP preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Minimum one year experience working with seniors preferred, but other experience will be considered.
• Able and willing to work flexible hours; mandatory weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Basic typing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Publisher, Word, PowerPoint).
• Able to drive residents to outside activities using the Primrose bus.
• Ability to speak to residents or external guests before groups.
