Job summary

Spring Arbor Senior Living is seeking an energetic Activities Assistant to support Rosewood Village – Greenbrier in Charlottesville, VA. The role focuses on planning engaging programs, fostering resident connections, and creating a welcoming environment for older adults who benefit from meaningful activities.

You will assist the Lifestyle Director with a full-time schedule, lead events, and help coordinate transportation and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or 21+ to drive the company bus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license or CDL for the state of operation.
• Must have high energy and enthusiasm, decision making, problem solving, planning/organization, and rapport building skills.
• Must pass a positive criminal background screening.
• Must have an acceptable DMV record; record checked annually.
• The community is a drug-free workplace; adherence to policy is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lifestyle Director in conducting and coordinating scheduled activities seven days a week for all residents.
• Prepare monthly Lifestyle calendar, post it, and distribute to residents.
• Facilitate monthly resident council meetings and other resident meetings as directed.
• Coordinate contact with community groups and volunteers to support Lifestyle programs and activities.
• Assist in scheduling transportation for residents and be prepared to drive property vehicles as needed.
• Assess residents’ social and lifestyle activity preferences and tailor programs accordingly.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support active, engaging programs for seniors.
