Job summary

Monarch Communities in Connecticut seeks a Life Enrichment Assistant to implement engaging activities for residents in a warm, supportive setting. The role reports to the Life Enrichment Director and is non-exempt and hourly, with a Wednesday–Friday schedule from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

The position emphasizes creating resident-centered programs, maintaining activity calendars, and ensuring safety and compliance while supporting a positive community atmosphere.

Qualifications

• One to two years related experience in leading activities for the elderly.
• Experience with Illustrates (for calendar and newsletter planning) preferred.
• High school diploma or higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing activities for residents.
• Create resident histories and profiles with family input.
• Set up and clean up daily activities.
• Create and distribute monthly social calendars.
• Keep residents engaged between activities.
• Attend in-service training as scheduled.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
