Job summary

Frederick Living is seeking a Life Enrichment Activity Assistant to support residents across all levels of care with engaging activities and social programs. The role focuses on building relationships, creativity, and compassionate interaction in both group and one-on-one settings.

The position is part-time with daytime and evening shifts, including every other weekend and some holidays. Benefits include PTO, a 401(k) with employer match, a referral bonus program, and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading group and one-on-one activities for residents.
• Help provide a variety of recreational, social, creative, and wellness-focused programs.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests, abilities, and preferences.
• Spend meaningful one-on-one time with residents who may not participate in group activities.
• Adapt activities to meet the physical and cognitive abilities of individual residents.
• Assist with activities and engagement for residents living with dementia and other cognitive or physical limitations.
• Help with community-wide events, special programs, outings, and celebrations.
• Assist residents with transportation to and from activities and outings as needed.
• Work closely with the Life Enrichment Team and other departments to support resident engagement and quality of life.
