Job summary

NexCare Health in Dimondale, MI seeks an Assistant Life Enrichment Director to plan, coordinate, and implement engaging programs for residents across a range of interests and abilities. You will evaluate resident needs and document plans to support physical, cognitive, and psychosocial well‑being.

Qualifications

Must hold state or national Life Enrichment licensure/certification or be eligible for certification as a Life Enrichment Professional or Therapeutic Recreational Specialist.
2+ years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, with at least 1 year in resident activities in a health care setting.
Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapist Assistant qualifications or state-approved Training Course are acceptable alternatives.

Responsibilities

Develop, schedule, and coordinate leisure life enrichment programs to meet residents’ varied interests and needs.
Complete a comprehensive resident evaluation based on background, interests, abilities, and needs.
Accurately document the life enrichment assessment and plan using the approved method.
