Job summary

Artis Senior Living is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to lead daily programming for residents, including memory care-focused activities. You will assist the Director in creating activities tailored to individual needs and engage residents in meaningful experiences, reflecting the ARTIS Way.

Familiarity with Alzheimer's/Dementia is preferred. A high school diploma is required, and the role supports residents with memory loss on a part-time Fri–Sat schedule, 9:30am–5:30pm.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Alzheimer's/Dementia preferred.
• Willingness to work with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead daily programming for residents.
• Assist the Director in developing activities to meet individual resident needs.
• Collaborate with Life Enrichment team to plan a monthly calendar.
• Engage residents in programs and coordinate with outside organizations as needed.
• Coordinate trips appropriate for residents and memory care needs.
• Communicate with families about resident participation and engagement.

We proudly title our Activities Assistants as the Life Enrichment Assistant, reflecting the collaborative role they play in our community and the important work they do to support our residents and families.

The Life Enrichment Assistant willengage residents in daily programming and entertainment. Assists the Director in the creation of activities designed to meet the individual needs of our residents. Familiarity with Alzheimer's/Dementia is preferred, and a willingness to work with the elderly population is essential for this role.

The Life Enrichment Assistant will:

• Create and develop programs that meet the individualized needs of the resident population at the community.
• Collaborate with other Life Enrichment Assistants to develop a monthly calendar that meets the Artis standards and the individual interests of the residents.
• Utilize the Partnership Profile to develop appropriate programs of interest to the residents.
• Utilize the associate Partnership Profile to involve associates in programs of interest and to enhance the monthly calendar.
• Demonstrate the company philosophy of Positive Partnerships the ARTIS Way.
• Assures that the ARTIS specific programs are being held as designated (i.e., Time to Dish, Town Halls, I CAN program, and I’m AlWrite).
• Coordinate with outside agencies and organizations to develop programs that enhance resident experience.
• Plans out trips for residents that meet their individual needs and are appropriate for residents with memory loss
• Provides information to the Director of Life Enrichment regarding resident engagement to assist with the development of a personalized care plan.
• Maintain communication with family members regarding level of participation in programs.
• Support and maintain an effective volunteer program through screening, orienting, training, supervising and evaluating volunteers.

How You'll Succeed

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
