Job summary

Artis Senior Living in Cincinnati is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant for a part-time role with schedules Monday–Friday, 9:30am–5:00pm or 12:00pm–7:30pm, with every other weekend required. Starting pay is $15.50 per hour.

You will lead daily activities for residents, help create a monthly calendar aligned with resident interests, and coordinate with teammates and outside partners to enrich memory care experiences. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop programs meeting the individualized needs of residents.
• Collaborate with other Life Enrichment Assistants to develop a monthly calendar that meets Artis standards and resident interests.
• Utilize the Partnership Profile to develop appropriate programs of interest to the residents.
• Utilize the Associate Partnership Profile to involve associates in programs of interest and to enhance the monthly calendar.
• Demonstrate the company philosophy of Positive Partnerships the ARTIS Way.
• Coordinate with outside agencies and organizations to develop programs that enhance resident experience.
• Plan out trips for residents that meet their individual needs and are appropriate for residents with memory loss.
• Provide information to the Director of Life Enrichment regarding resident engagement to assist with the development of a personalized care plan.
• Maintain communication with family members regarding level of participation in programs.
• Support and maintain an effective volunteer program through screening, orienting, training, supervising and evaluating volunteers.

We proudly title our Activities Assistants as the Life Enrichment Assistant, reflecting the collaborative role they play in our community and the important work they do to support our residents and families.

The Life Enrichment Assistant willengage residents in daily programming and entertainment. Assists the Director in the creation of activities designed to meet the individual needs of our residents. Familiarity with Alzheimer's/Dementia is preferred, and a willingness to work with the elderly population is essential for this role.

The Life Enrichment Assistant will:

• Create and develop programs that meet the individualized needs of the resident population at the community.
• Collaborate with other Life Enrichment Assistants to develop a monthly calendar that meets the Artis standards and the individual interests of the residents.
• Utilize the Partnership Profile to develop appropriate programs of interest to the residents.
• Utilize the associate Partnership Profile to involve associates in programs of interest and to enhance the monthly calendar.

• Assures that the ARTIS specific programs are being held as designated (i.e., Time to Dish, Town Halls, I CAN program, and I'm AlWrite).
