Job summary

Artis Senior Living of Huntingdon Valley is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to lead daily programming for residents, including memory-care activities, with a focus on meaningful engagement.

The role collaborates with the Life Enrichment team to design monthly calendars, work with families and volunteers, and coordinate with external partners. A high school diploma is required, and familiarity with Alzheimer’s/Dementia is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop programs that meet the individualized needs of the resident population.
• Collaborate with other Life Enrichment Assistants to develop a monthly calendar that meets Artis standards and resident interests.
• Utilize the Partnership Profile to develop appropriate programs of interest to residents.
• Involve associates in programs through the Partnership Profile to enhance the monthly calendar.
• Demonstrate the ARTIS Way philosophy of Positive Partnerships in daily practice.
• Ensure ARTIS-specific programs are held as designated (e.g., Time to Dish, Town Halls, I CAN, I’m AlWrite).
• Coordinate with outside agencies to develop programs that enhance resident experience.
• Plan trips for residents that meet individual needs and memory loss considerations.
• Provide information to the Director of Life Enrichment to aid personalized care planning.
• Maintain communication with family members regarding participation levels.
• Support and maintain a volunteer program through screening, orientation, training, and evaluation.

We proudly title our Activities Assistants as the Life Enrichment Assistant, reflecting the collaborative role they play in our community and the important work they do to support our residents and families.

The Life Enrichment Assistant will engage residents in daily programming and entertainment. Assists the Director in the creation of activities designed to meet the individual needs of our residents. Familiarity with Alzheimer's/Dementia is preferred, and a willingness to work with the elderly population is essential for this role.

The Life Enrichment Assistant will:

• Create and develop programs that meet the individualized needs of the resident population at the community.
• Collaborate with other Life Enrichment Assistants to develop a monthly calendar that meets the Artis standards and the individual interests of the residents.
• Utilize the Partnership Profile to develop appropriate programs of interest to the residents.
• Utilize the associate Partnership Profile to involve associates in programs of interest and to enhance the monthly calendar.
• Demonstrate the company philosophy of Positive Partnerships the ARTIS Way.
• Assures that the ARTIS specific programs are being held as designated (i.e., Time to Dish, Town Halls, I CAN program, and I’m AlWrite).
• Coordinate with outside agencies and organizations to develop programs that enhance resident experience.
• Plans out trips for residents that meet their individual needs and are appropriate for residents with memory loss
• Provides information to the Director of Life Enrichment regarding resident engagement to assist with the development of a personalized care plan.
• Maintain communication with family members regarding level of participation in programs.
• Support and maintain an effective volunteer program through screening, orienting, training, supervising and evaluating volunteers.

How You'll Succeed

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
