Job summary

Living Branches is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to plan and implement engaging activities for residents, including outings and pet-therapy related events.

Responsibilities include coordinating rooms, calls, and drivers; attending care meetings; and supporting resident participation in group activities. A High School Diploma is required; CPR/First Aid is preferred. Morning shift with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Assist with administrative duties for events (room reservations, calls, scheduling drivers).
• Coordinate assigned projects and special events.
• Attend meetings related to resident care.
• Attend community outings and off-campus trips.
• May work with animals as part of pet therapy.
• Energetic and enthusiastic; encourage resident participation.
• CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups.

Our Life Enrichment Assistant plans, organizes, and implements comprehensive activities to enhance the quality of life for our residents. This role brings joy and fun to the residents, but also serves as a transitional program for residents beginning the process of cognitive decline, but who do not require a secure environment. It's event planning with a purpose!

Life Enrichment Assistant Overview:

• May assist with administrative duties involved with organizing events such as reserving rooms, placing/receiving phone calls related to events, scheduling drivers for resident outings, etc.
• Assists with the coordination of assigned projects and with the coordination of special events
• May be required to attend meeting relating to care of the residents
• Attends community specific outings and off-campus excursions
• May be required to work with domesticated animals (birds, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, etc.) as part of resident's pet therapy
• Energetic and enthusiastic personality with the ability to encourage active resident participation
• High School Diploma
• CPR/First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• Comfortable public speaking in front of large groups
