Legacy Oaks of Sacramento Assisted Living and Memory Care in Sacramento, CA is seeking a compassionate Life Enrichment Assistant to support resident engagement and safe transportation for appointments and outings.

The role focuses on planning engaging activities, tailoring programs to individual needs, and collaborating with team to enhance residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being. A valid driver’s license and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills for word processing.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Minimum one year of driving or transportation experience preferred.
• State Criminal Background Check and LIC 508 Criminal Record Statement.
• LIC 503 Health Screening Report.
• Compassionate, patient, and service-oriented attitude.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect, and privacy.
• Safely transport residents to appointments and outings and assist entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.

Legacy Oaks of Sacramento Assisted Living and Memory Care, located in Sacramento, CA is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable individual to serve in as a Life Enrichment Assistant. This position supports resident engagement through meaningful activities while also providing safe and dependable transportation for appointments and outings.

The ideal candidate is personable, organized, safety-conscious, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities of the Life Enrichment Assistant Duties

• Assist the Life Enrichment Director in planning, coordinating and conducting resident activities.
• Provide engaging activity programming that enhances residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being.
• Tailor activities to meet residents' individual needs, preferences, and abilities.
• Assist in creating monthly activity calendars and newsletters.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect, and privacy.
• Safely transport residents to and from appointments and community outings.
• Assist residents when entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Ensure adherence to all safety procedures during transport.
• Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the community vehicle.
• Follow all infection control and safety protocols.
• Complete all required state training upon hire and annually.
• Collaborate with team members to support overall resident care and engagement.

Required Experience

• Possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills for word processing.

• Valid driver's license (CDL if required) with a clean driving record.
• Minimum one (1) year of driving or transportation experience preferred.
