Job summary

West Oaks Senior Care & Rehab is seeking an Activities Aide to deliver life enrichment programs and engage residents daily. The role emphasizes therapeutic activities for physical and mental well-being, with a focus on music, games, and crafts.

You will support and lead group activities, encourage participation, and help coordinate transport to programs. A one-year experience in long-term care is preferred, along with a background in music or recreational therapy.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
• Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering quality care.
• You are a team player, dedicated to supporting your team.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
• Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport to life enrichment programs.
• Evaluate patients based on background, interests, abilities, and needs for meaningful programs.
• Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.
