Job summary

Matthews Health & Rehab Center in Matthews, NC is seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant to support recreational, social, educational, cultural, physical and emotional programs for residents, in alignment with assessments and care plans.

This full-time role offers Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with every other weekend, and pay in the $16.00–$17.00 per hour range. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401K, tuition assistance, PTO, and access to on‑demand or weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, educational, cultural, physical, emotional and spiritual programs per resident assessments and care plans.
• Support residents’ recreational and social activities and engagement.
• Coordinate with supervisor and facility staff to ensure program quality and safety.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, educational/intellectual, cultural, physical, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as directed by your supervisor.
