Job summary

The Orchards is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to support planning and delivering engaging activities for residents in our skilled nursing facility. You will help promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being through meaningful interactions and daily enrichment.

Responsibilities include developing and leading activities, providing companionship, transporting residents, and documenting participation. Experience in senior care or customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior care, recreation, or customer service setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with older adults.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Life Enrichment Assistant Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, organizing, and leading group and individual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
• Encourage resident participation and provide companionship during programs
• Help transport residents to and from activities
• Document resident participation and provide feedback to the Life Enrichment Director
• Support special events, outings, and holiday celebrations
• Comply with all health, safety, and infection control policies

Life Enrichment Assistant Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a senior care, recreation, or customer service setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with older adults
