Job summary

Waltonwood Canton is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to plan and provide activities and fitness programming for residents, support the Life Enrichment Director, and foster socialization and well-being inside and outside the community.

You will collaborate with care staff to transport residents, help welcome new residents, and coordinate volunteers, contributing to a vibrant program that enhances residents' quality of life.

Qualifications

• Coursework in recreational therapy/gerontology is preferred.
• Experience coordinating and conducting group activities.
• Experience with seniors, including memory impairment, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Enrichment Director with coordinating and facilitating activities and events for residents.
• Encourage resident socialization and participation to promote a positive community environment.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and materials for Life Enrichment program.
• Coordinate the community volunteer program and assign tasks to volunteers.
• Provide administrative duties to support the Life Enrichment team.
• Help welcome new residents upon move-in and set up decorations.
• Work with care staff to transport residents to activities and events.
• Drive the community vehicle.
• Assist with all other duties as assigned by the Life Enrichment Director.
