Job summary

Waltonwood is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to support planning and delivering activities and fitness programming for residents. You will help assess residents’ interests and abilities and collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director to provide engaging programming that enhances social, physical, and mental well-being.

Qualifications

• Coursework in recreational therapy/gerontology required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Preferred minimum one (1) year previous experience coordinating and conducting group activities.
• Experience should be relevant to working with seniors. Experience in caring for those with memory impairment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Enrichment Director with coordinating and facilitating activities and events for residents, both inside and outside the community.
• Encourage resident socialization and participation in activities and events.
• Maintain inventory checklist of all supplies and materials required to enhance Life Enrichment program.
• Coordinate the community volunteer program and assign tasks to volunteers.
