Job summary

Ovation in Washington, UT is seeking a Part-time Life Enrichment / Activities Assistant to support the Lifestyle Director in planning, organizing and facilitating engaging activities for residents in independent living, assisted living and memory care settings. The role involves planning diverse activities, leading group sessions, coordinating with staff and families, and maintaining records.

Schedule options include Tue-Sat 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM or Thu-Sat 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM; wage $17.00 - $18.00

Qualifications

• Prefer experience in long-term care, geriatric rehab, sub-acute and or critical care clinical setting.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must hold an active and unencumbered Driver’s License.
• Experience with volunteer work and or activities work with the geriatric population.
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Must maintain and have an active CPR/BLS during employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a diverse range of activities (games, exercise, arts, music, events).
• Create activity schedules and calendars to cater to different interests.
• Prepare activity areas and gather supplies, ensuring safety.
• Lead group activities and assist residents one-on-one.
• Encourage participation and provide support as needed.
• Document resident participation and feedback.
• Transport residents to activities as needed.
• Coordinate with staff, volunteers, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
