Job summary

Bethesda Home of Aberdeen is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the planning, development, and evaluation of resident activity programs. You will help implement daily activities that promote social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual well-being under the supervision of the Activity Director.

The role requires a high school education; no prior experience is needed as on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating activity programs.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and involvement and report findings.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and arrange transportation for events.
• Prepare activity rooms and equipment for scheduled programs.
• Develop and maintain activity plans and care plans for residents.
• Assist in evaluating activity progress and quality assurance for the department.
