Job summary

NHC HealthCare North Augusta is seeking a Recreation/Wellness staff member to develop and implement engaging wellness programs for residents across long-term care, memory care and rehab units.

The role requires creativity, energy, compassion and strong interaction with residents, families, and the community. Weekend and holiday availability is expected to support daily activity programming and quality of life goals.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated, creative with positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm.
• Must be able to work with family members, partners, and the community.
• Must have weekend/ holiday availability.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a well-rounded wellness program for Long Term Care, Memory Care or Rehab patients as assigned with some holiday availability.
• Timely completion of assessments, care plans and associated paperwork
• Ensuring that all local, State and Federal guidelines regarding programming are met
• Bringing the “fun” to residents' daily activities
• Other duties as assigned

Pay based on Experience: $14- $17 per hour

Are you looking to be a part of a team that assists in providing therapeutic programs which meets each patient's "individual" needs while providing an atmosphere of FUN and ENJOYMENT and other duties as requested?The applicant must have a desire to work with seniors, be compassionate, caring, and creative. The ideal candidate must be creative, energetic, and have knowledge of the domains of wellness as it relates to programming in long term care. Your goal would be to provide daily meaningful activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents.
