Job summary

Michigan Masonic Home in Alma, MI is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to plan and implement daily activities, floor programs, and one-to-one engagements for residents. You will work with volunteers and staff to orient residents to activity options, document participation, and help decorate for events while promoting wellness and community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementation of daily activities, floor programs, one-to-one programs, special events, out trips, etc.
• Orient new residents to activity opportunities and co-residents.
• Obtain resident input on activity interests through planning meetings and assessments.
• Work with volunteers, students, and staff.
• Assist residents to attend programs and document participation.
• Decorate facility for events and holidays as directed.
• Coordinate and prepare daily program supplies and return supplies at day end.
• Promote resident wellness with the Life Enrichment Manager through interventions and programming adaptations.
• Promote and advertise upcoming events.

Michigan Masonic Home is looking for a talented, compassionate, and hard-working Life Enrichment Assistant that is eager to serve others. Our team members go above and beyond to serve the residents they care for. Everyday Michigan Masonic Home provides exciting opportunities to learn and grow!

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

• Assist with planning and implementation of daily activities, floor programs, one-to-one programs, special events, out trips, etc.
• Orient new residents to activity opportunities and co-residents.
• Obtain resident input on activity interests through activity planning meetings and Life Enrichment assessments, as assigned.
• Work in cooperation with volunteers, students, and staff.
• Assist residents to attend programs.
• Document residents’ individual and group activity participation/attendance.
• Decorate facility for special events and holidays, as directed.
• Assist residents out into the community on trips.
• Coordinate and prepare daily program supplies and return supplies to the designated areas at the end of the workday.
• Work in coordination with Life Enrichment Manager to promote resident wellness, including behavior interventions, 1:1 interaction, and programming adaptations.
• Promote and advertise upcoming events.
