Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan, organize, and direct individual and group programs for residents, addressing social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities include leading daily programs, designing engaging activities, planning monthly calendars, and distributing schedules. The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to work some weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with senior population preferred.
• NCCAP certification preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to and conveys a Life Enrichment philosophy that supports residents' dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality.
• Leads and/or oversees individual and group programs daily, encouraging and tracking resident participation.
• Designs creative and engaging programs reflecting residents' needs and interests.
• Plans a monthly calendar that includes one-on-one and group activities to enrich residents' interests/health.
• Develops and distributes monthly Life Enrichment schedules to residents and posts for easy reference.
• Acknowledges residents' birthdays, anniversaries, and special accomplishments.
• Orders needed supplies including oversight of the life enrichment budget to keep costs within budgetary guidelines.
• Ensures Life Enrichment Programs meet all state, federal, and other regulations.

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring for a Life Enrichment Coordinator to be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing individual and group programs to meet the social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs of the Primrose Community residents. The Life Enrichment Coordinator promotes available programs to residents and encourages participation.

• Ensures Life Enrichment Programs meet all state, federal, and other regulations.

What we're looking for:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Rec Therapist, COTA, education and/or experience in the field of teaching or nursing is preferred.
• Certification by NCCAP (National Certification Council for Activity Professionals) is also preferred.
• Excellent Communication (oral and written) in English, organizational and time management skills.
• Minimum of one year working with senior population preferred but will consider previous experiences.
• Able and willing to work flexible hours. This position will require some weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Basic typing skills along with basic knowledge of computer Microsoft Software (i.e. Publisher, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents or associates of organization or outside professionals.

Pay range: if requested or required (CO & IL).
