Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Life Engagement Assistant in Winthrop, MA to develop and deliver meaningful resident activities aligned with Six Dimensions of Wellness. You will supervise engagement staff, coordinate outings, and manage budgets while maintaining compliance with regulations.

The role requires a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, with duties spanning planning, mentoring, and community engagement to improve residents' quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of experience working with elderly populations.
• Clean driving record and ability to provide proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement resident activities reflecting individual preferences.
• Oversee and support resident engagement staff, including training.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise resident outings and community events.
• Maintain activity areas, supplies, and equipment; manage volunteers.
• Prepare and distribute monthly engagement calendar and newsletter.
• Maintain records and comply with state regulations regarding volunteers and activities.
• Respond to flexible scheduling needs.
• Manage department budget and resources.
