Job summary

Glen Carr House in Derby, KS is seeking a Life Engagement Coordinator (Activities Assistant) to lead life engagement programming aligned with residents' agreements and to foster meaningful relationships within the community.

You will work to ensure resident and family feedback is incorporated, educate the community on engagement activities, and support a loving, homelike atmosphere while collaborating with the Life Engagement Director and care teams.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering life engagement activities or similar programming.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage residents and families with empathy and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate life engagement activities according to the approved schedule and in conjunction with individual resident's agreements.
• Provide feedback to leadership regarding program success and suggestions for improvement.
• Observe resident satisfaction and engage families for feedback on preferences.
• Educate residents and families on the importance of life engagement programming.
• Serve as a resource for the team to identify additional informal engagement opportunities.

Your Life Engagement Coordinator (Activities Assistant) duties and responsibilities include:

Life Engagement Programming

• Facilitate life engagement activities according to the approved schedule and in conjunction with individual resident's Negotiated Service Agreements
• Provide feedback to the Life Engagement Director regarding success of scheduled programming, including recommendation for program enhancements

Customer Service

• Continually observe resident satisfaction with life engagement programming and look for opportunities to engage resident families for feedback regarding individual resident preferences
• Communicate with community leadership and resident families regarding successes and challenges observed while facilitating programs
• Educate residents, resident families, community leaders, and team members on the importance of life engagement programming
• Serve as a resource for team members regarding opportunities for additional informal life engagement activities outside of the scheduled programming
