Job summary

Avanti Senior Living at Flower Mound is seeking a dynamic Life Design specialist to own and deliver Avanti’s signature resident-engagement program. You will craft experiences, build relationships with residents, and drive participation within the community.

The ideal candidate brings energy, creativity and a people-centered mindset, with experience in recreation, wellness or related fields. This on-site role requires flexibility and occasional local travel to support events and activities.

Qualifications

• Therapeutic Recreation degree preferred with experience in recreation, engagement or wellness.
• Experience in senior living is welcome but not required; energy and creativity needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; initiative and empathy for older adults.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Life Design program with consistency and high standards.
• Create fresh experiences reflecting residents' lives.
• Build genuine resident relationships; know their stories and interests.
• Drive participation and engage residents not yet involved.
• Create opportunities for connection, learning, contribution, fun and belonging.
• Rally Avanti team around resident life.
• Own calendar, communication, resources, budget, and follow-through.
• Continuously ask what could be better and what's next.
