Job summary

Aviva Merrillville is seeking a dedicated life enrichment assistant to help design and deliver engaging activities for residents in our senior living community. You will work closely with the life enrichment director to plan programs that enhance creativity, physical and mental well-being, and social interaction.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, encouraging participation, assisting with move-ins, transporting residents to activities, and providing administrative support to the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Valid driver license in state of operation with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and community leaders.
• Assist life enrichment director with coordinating and facilitating activities and events.
• Encourage resident participation to foster a positive community environment.
• Transport residents to activities and events; drive community vehicle as needed.
