Uplift and Inspire in Swarthmore, PA is seeking a Life Coach (Direct Support Professional) to provide one-on-one in-home and community support to an individual building independence. You will foster daily routines, skill-building, and personal growth.

This 25-hour-per-week role offers a meaningful schedule Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., with a flexible, purpose-driven culture. A HS diploma and driver’s license are required; prior DSP or life coaching experience is a plus, and a background check

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in human services or related field preferred.
• Experience in Direct Support or life coaching is a plus; strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Provide person-centered, one-on-one in-home and community support.
• Help build independent living skills (meal planning, cooking, shopping, chores).
• Support daily routines, time management, and planning with encouragement.
• Offer mentorship and life coaching to promote confidence and independence.
• Facilitate community outings and transportation per agency procedures.
• Follow individualized support plans and collaborate with family and team.
• Document progress, incidents, and activities accurately and timely.

About the Role:

Uplift and Inspire is looking for a passionate and dedicated Life Coach (Direct Support Professional) to join our team in Swarthmore, PA. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. — 25 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Provide person-centered, one-on-one in-home and community support to an individual with disabilities.
• Help build independent living skills, including meal planning, cooking, grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, and household organization.
• Support consistent daily routines, time management, and planning through encouragement, reminders, and clear instructions.
• Offer emotional support, mentorship, and life coaching to promote confidence, independence, and personal growth.
• Facilitate community outings and social activities, including providing transportation according to agency procedures.
• Follow individualized support plans and collaborate with the participant, family, and support team to provide consistent support.
• Document participant progress, incidents, and daily activities accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in human services, psychology, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), caregiver, or life coach is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, patient demeanor.
• Ability to provide calm, respectful encouragement while supporting the participant’s choices and independence.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Availability to consistently work Monday–Friday from 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
