Job summary

Rand Mutual Assurance seeks a Claims Administrator to support the claims processing lifecycle, manage document flow and stakeholder communications, and assist with branch operations. The role involves information capture, indexing, and ensuring timely follow-ups on missing documents.

The ideal candidate will have clerical and data-entry experience, strong MS Office skills, and knowledge of claims processes, with a professional and empathetic approach to customers.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 qualification/Matric Certificate.
• 2-3 years clerical, scanning and indexing experience.
• Data-entry experience and good typing skills.
• Additional insurance related qualifications or training will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
• Insurance and/or Medical Aid experience.

Responsibilities

• Capture of claims and follow up on outstanding documents from stakeholders.
• Indexing of documents and organising scanned files.
• Provide updates to stakeholders via email, phone, or SMS.
• Handle walk-in queries and support branch operations.
• Resolve customer enquiries and escalate priority issues as needed.
• Report progress using standard templates.
