Job summary
Willis Towers Watson seeks an actuarial intern in our Life division in Chicago. The role will work with credentialed actuaries on product development, financial modeling, and risk management for insurance clients.
On-site with housing stipend and partial remote work, you will gain exposure across projects and clients while pursuing actuarial credentials. You will assist with pricing, valuation, and development of insurance products, build financial projections, and participate in learning
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance or any other major with significant quantitative coursework and GPA 3.0+
- Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams highly preferred
- Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely and without visa sponsorship
- Housing stipend and primarily on-site with some remote days
Responsibilities
- Assist with pricing, valuation and development of insurance products
- Develop financial projections for clients' insurance business
- Follow the firm's Excellence guidelines
- Pursue actuarial credentials through learning opportunities
- Build relationships with internal teams and client representatives
- Document, review and present your work
- Create detailed project plans and monitor progress against deadlines and budget
- Collaborate with credentialed actuaries on diverse insurance projects
