The Town of Rocky Mount is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Lieutenant of Special Operations ready to lead and supervise the Investigations, School Resource and Community Outreach divisions at the Rocky Mount Police Department. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and hold a valid Virginia driver’s license. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must hold current law enforcement certification through DCJS. Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a law enforcement role.
Responsibilities:
The applicant chosen will successfully complete a physical/screening, and background check. Salary $67,417 - $84,194 commensurate with experience and training. Excellent fringe benefits, such as but not limited to, health, dental and vision paid for by employer for employee only coverage, and family plan costing less than $500 per month. Eligible for employer contribution to a flexible spending account of up to $600. Paid time off accruals starting at 7.00 hours every two weeks. The Town participates in the Virginia Retirement System, of which all full-time employees are a member. Life insurance and short-term disability paid for by employer. Other elective retirement plans and insurances are available too.
