Job summary

WGI seeks a LiDAR Technician II to perform mobile, static terrestrial, and UAS LiDAR collection operations and to process trajectories and point clouds for transportation, infrastructure, utility, and mapping projects. This in-office role includes coordination with field crews and project managers across multiple Florida locations.

The ideal candidate has 3-7 years of LiDAR collection/processing experience, strong QA/QC skills, and proficiency with RiPROCESS, TopoDOT, TerraSolid, and GIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in geomatics or related field.
• 3-7 years LiDAR collection/processing experience.
• Experience with mobile mapping and point cloud processing.
• Proficiency with listed software (TopoDOT, RiPROCESS, POSPac, MicroStation, ArcGIS Pro).

Responsibilities

• Perform LiDAR data collection in field and office processing.
• Process GNSS/IMU trajectories using POSPac or equivalent software.
• Generate, tile and manage large geospatial datasets and project deliverables.
• Assist with QA/QC procedures to verify accuracy and project specs.
• Mentor junior staff and assist with training initiatives.
