Job summary

WGI is seeking a LiDAR Technician I to join our Geospatial team across Orlando, West Palm Beach, and Winter Garden, FL. We welcome 0–3 years of LiDAR/remote sensing experience and a foundational understanding of geospatial data concepts through a role focused on data collection, processing, and deliverables.

You will assist the Survey Project Manager, operate LiDAR hardware, manage datasets, and contribute to project QA/QC while collaborating with field crews and office staff.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, GIS or related field.
• 0–3 years of LiDAR/remote sensing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point cloud processing workflows and software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mobile, static terrestrial, and UAS LiDAR data collection.
• Operate LiDAR equipment and survey hardware, and document collection.
• Support GPS/GNSS initialization and field calibration checks.
• Process raw LiDAR data under supervision and QA/QC reviews.
• Deliverables include point clouds, imagery, and breaklines.
• Coordinate with field crews to meet schedules and safety procedures.
