Job summary

WGI is seeking a LiDAR Technician I to support mobile, terrestrial, and UAS LiDAR data collection for public and private sector projects. You will work with the Survey Project Manager and a team to complete projects across Orlando, West Palm Beach, Winter Garden, and other locations.

The role emphasizes learning LiDAR workflows, operating survey hardware, and ensuring data quality while collaborating with field crews and office staff. A related degree is preferred, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

Basic understanding of LiDAR, GPS/GNSS and geospatial data concepts.
Familiarity with point cloud processing workflows preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

Assist with mobile, static terrestrial, and UAS LiDAR field data collection operations.
Operate and maintain LiDAR collection equipment and survey hardware.
Support GPS/GNSS initialization, field calibration checks, and documentation.
