Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) in Austin seeks a geospatial data professional to process geospatial data, classify LiDAR point clouds, and compile mapping features from LiDAR and orthophotography. You will support nationwide projects and work with Microstation and TerraSolid to deliver accurate products.

Qualifications

• Eagerness to advance and grow in a geospatial career and a strong commitment to making significant contributions to the team
• Strong work ethic, demonstrated integrity, and personal accountability for contributing to the team's success
• Excellent computer and technical skills, including MS Office Suite
• Microstation and TerraSolid experience is highly preferred
• Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills
• Experience with CAD, GIS, Orthophotography, LiDAR, and mapping from LiDAR or imagery is preferred

Responsibilities

• Daily processing of geospatial data, including evaluating accuracy and sufficiency, and ensuring compliance to project and industry standards related to aerial mapping products
• Classification of LiDAR point clouds
• Compilation of mapping features from LiDAR point clouds
• Compilation of mapping features from orthophotography
• Other duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities
