Job summary

SAM is a nationwide geospatial leader delivering land surveying, aerial mapping, GIS, BIM, and CEI services across the United States. The role focuses on transforming LiDAR and imagery into precise mapping deliverables while supporting projects nationwide and growing technical expertise.

You will work with industry-leading tools, contribute to project success, and advance your geospatial career under experienced mentors within SAM’s growth‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Eagerness to advance and grow in a geospatial career.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and accountability.
• Excellent computer and technical skills, including MS Office Suite.
• Microstation and TerraSolid experience is highly preferred.
• Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with CAD, GIS, Orthophotography, LiDAR points or LiDAR classification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily processing of geospatial data, ensuring accuracy and standards.
• Classification of LiDAR point clouds.
• Compilation of mapping features from LiDAR and orthophotography.
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily processing of geospatial data, including evaluating accuracy and sufficiency, and ensuring compliance to applicable project and industry standards related to aerial mapping products
• Classification of LiDAR point clouds
• Compilation of mapping features from LiDAR point clouds
• Compilation of mapping features from orthophotography
• Other duties as assigned
