Job summary

Chrisp Company is seeking a Mobile Mapping Technician in Fremont, CA to collect and review geospatial data using mobile LiDAR. The role blends field ops, vehicle data collection, quality control, and basic data processing.

You will operate LiDAR equipment on routes, manage data quality, and document field progress while traveling to job sites as needed. Strong English communication and customer-service mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of LiDAR, GPS, GIS, surveying equipment, or mobile mapping systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong English communication and customer service orientation.
• Able to work independently and travel to sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile LiDAR scanning equipment along assigned routes.
• Drive data collection vehicle at safe speeds while maintaining scan quality.
• Follow pre-planned scanning routes and project instructions.
• Set up, inspect, and maintain scanning equipment in the field.
• Maintain project logs and report field conditions to managers.
