Job summary

Dewberry Engineers Incorporated is seeking a Lidar Calibration Analyst to join a multidisciplinary engineering team. The role involves ensuring data quality through calibration and alignment of lidar datasets, with emphasis on airborne, terrestrial, and mobile platforms across US projects.

The candidate will leverage ESRI software and TerraScan, Scrutinize errors, and support data processing workflows including trajectory processing and production of lidar-derived products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field required.
• 2+ years of experience in GIS/Remote Sensing.
• Experience in Lidar data extraction and/or swath alignment.
• Experience in Lidar processing and elevation model creation/manipulation.
• In-depth knowledge of ESRI software; TerraScan experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Quality checks on data post acquisition.
• Airborne and/or mobile trajectory processing.
• Processing and extraction of lidar data from raw formats.
• Performing relative and absolute adjustments to lidar data (calibration/alignment/registration).
• QA/QC on processed data to ensure rigorous accuracy.
